The third stage of cultural identity development is one of immersion in one's own culture and, as such, is a rewarding period of rediscovery for those involved. In this ssession, cultural identity theory is offered as a framework for specific strategies that educators can use to enhance the Immersion stage in the classroom, thereby facilitating positive growth and cultural identity development in students.
